It is amazing that technology has advanced so far, that a tiny flashlight shorter than 5in can have an output of 5000 Lumens! In addition to the quality, the features Nitecore has packed into this compact flashlight really show how far technology has come. In addition to the high output, it is rechargeable via the built-in USB-C port, has a 4 LED power meter, has a 2-position switch that allows for mode change and power in a single button, it has a physical lockout switch, and so much more!
High Power EDC Flashlight: The Nitecore EDC35 flashlight boasts amazing brightness and throw, making it an ideal choice for everyday carry. Featuring the innovative NiteLab UHi 40 MAX LED, the EDC35 delivers an amazing 5000-lumen output and an impressive throw of 601 yards. Fully press the tail switch to power the light on or off. While the light is on, perform a half-press to cycle through four different brightness levels. For momentary modes, half-press and hold to activate the 3000-lumen spotlight for searching, or fully press and hold to engage the full 5000-lumen output. The EDC35 also includes a sensor protection function that decreases the EDC35’s brightness when it’s too close to objects to prevent overheating.
USB-C Rechargeable: The EDC35 offers the convenience of USB-C rechargeability. Simply twist the USB-C cover at the tail to access the built-in charging port. A power indicator is included to notify you when it's done charging. Thanks to its built-in 6000mAh battery, the EDC35 can provide up to 90 hours of continuous use in low mode when fully charged and can be fully charged in just 3.5 hours. The EDC35 also features two lockout modes: Half and Full. You can still access the Search and Lumin Shield in Half Lockout Mode, while Full Lockout will fully prevent any accidental activation.
Compact and Durable: At a compact size of 4.89 inches and a weight of only 6.28 ounces with the clip attached, the EDC35 easily fits into any pocket. It is also IP68 waterproof, has 2-meter impact resistance, and has tail stand capability, ensuring reliable performance in any environment.

    Newer ratcheting ones are the Auto vs standard version has different bit lengths. Essentially the best out there. If you want magnetized version pay twice msrp for ltt brand which I think megapro makes for them. Both a win, glad to keep this company in business, e2 bits for electricians my new favorite bit to use.

    Megapro doesn't get enough credit... As far as I can tell everyone else copied their design... I eventually came back to their tools after having a few other name brands fail on the job. You can't go wrong with Megapro.

    Man, I have a Magnespot and Magnepull on my AT&T truck and use them maybe twice a year.. but seriously just read the brick. There's phone lines going thru the cinder block from the network interface, just reference that on the other side. If one side was sterile it'd make sense.

    As an Electrical Contractor for many years, this "tool" seems worth it's price. Many many years ago I "Blindly" drilled into a pipe chase after going back and forth measuring and noting locations of water pipes and electrical conduits. Needless to say, Damned if I didn't drill straight into a 1-1/2" water riser that was connected to a water tank on the roof of the 17 story building I was in. Long story short, by the time we got the water shut off, there was over a 100 grand worth of damage to several offices and a computer room with tape drives. This item I definitely will be buying.

    You still need to be somewhat ballsy to drill blind like that through concrete...and by "blind", I mean that it is still possible that the block has vertical lines, electrical, pipes, gas, water, etc running through it....not likely, but definitely possible....not to code, but definitely possible. Furthermore, I have seen walls (two different occasions) that have been "double-blocked"...in that, there was a block wall, a 3 to 4" hollow space, and then another block wall. From inside and outside, it seemed like single-wall thickness....yet, there were two walls, with miscellaneous items in between. I've also drilled thru drywall and hit concrete (the drywall was placed over existing concrete during a remodel)...another time, I drilled thru drywall and heard glass shatter....same thing, a remodel of drywall over a window. Everyone should be very careful....none of these tools are magical, and they are NOT like an Xray machine as is sometimes suggested in the Magnespot marketing material. Double-check, triple-check...even more...do everything you can to avoid drilling *blindly*. Assume as little as possible.

    2 questions. 1. why do you pull the mesh back instead of just cutting it off prior to placing F connector on? 2. I have seen folks leave the foil on, but then others say to take it off before installing F connector. So, which is it?

    • @ttsvideos
      @ttsvideos 7 років тому

      Great question Joanna! Firstly, ease of installation. By folding the braid back a void is created between the braid and the foil that the connectors ferrule will slide right down. If you cut the braid, the ferrule can get stuck on the cut ends making it difficult to get the connector on. Secondly, Shielding. While it may be negligible, folding the braid back creates a better connection.

    Ya but, I think in most cases you are supposed to put fire-blocking sealant/foam where you cut the fireblock. Don't think you can do that with this method.

    that fiber you cut off you should use to pull back and cut the jacket the tool use to cut the outside could of scored the wire so pull it back so the wire is not cut

    • @ttsvideos

      +oNi Our stripper is adjusted to barely score the outer jacket, so it will never nick the wires. But, this is an awesome point and something a lot of techs unknowingly do. Thanks for adding oNI!
